About the Role
Reporting to the Electrical Area Owner, this role is responsible for supporting Nelson Point Maintenance shift teams with technical support. Your area of responsibility covers all process plant equipment and control systems.
This role will be based residentially on a 4 days on, 4 nights on, 8 days off roster.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Promote and consistently follow the standards and procedures designed to enable you to work safely and effectively every day
- Provide onsite support to the breakdown teams and use your technical skills and ability in recovery of equipment
- Perform breakdown investigations, small projects, bridging, equipment performance both short and long term along with continuous improvement, coaching and mentoring of the maintenance electrical teams
- Liaise with other technology support functions within BHP both onsite and remotely ensuring the network and systems are maintained and managed according to BHP policy and procedures
- Conduct quality risk assessments and ensure you follow these when executing tasks
- Follow and improve safe work instructions
- Be a supportive team player who is constantly seeking to improve the way we work
About You
- Proven commitment to look after your own wellbeing and the confidence to speak up when others put themselves in harm’s way
- Electrical Trade Certificate (WA Electrical Licence) and/ or tertiary related discipline
- Technical knowledge of PLCs (AB & GE), VVVFs (Siemens), networks, instrumentation, HV/LV motors and Citect systems (or similar, relevant systems)
- Current, valid driver’s licence
- Current Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC)
