About the role

We are looking for an Electrical Technician to work within the Asset Management team to improve the reliability of the Bell Bay Aluminium equipment through defect elimination, technical expertise, coaching and sustainable improvements to support the maintenance team.
This is a great opportunity for a strong Electrical technician who will provide critical support to the maintenance team and play a vital role in the uplift of our asset health.
Reporting to the Superintendent Planning & Engineering and working a Nine Day Fortnight (day shift) roster, you will be:
- Managing Asset Defect Elimination projects to improve equipment reliability and operating improvements;
- Coach maintenance teams during PM execution whilst providing complex breakdown resolution;
- Participation and facilitation of investigations based on asset performance.
- Analysing delay accounting and SAP data to improve asset health;
- Analysing and implementing sustainable improvements to asset health by creating and modifying SAP master data, tactics and equipment strategies;
- Requesting and completing of updates to asset documentation and drawings.
- Provide recommendations into 5 Year plan based on known asset health conditions.
- Participation in operational readiness activities
What you’ll bring
- A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team
- An Electrical Engineering or Electrical & Instrument Trade background
- A diverse and strong technical knowledge of electrical, electronic and instrument assets and systems.
- Ability to liaise with a variety of stakeholders to problem solve and make recommendations
- A passion for continuous improvement and asset reliability
- Experience working within reduction line process environment.
- Experience in the use of asset and business risk software, SAP and MS Office
- Knowledge and experience of Electrical regulatory and statutory standards and requirements
