About the Role

BHP’s Mt Arthur Coal is the largest individual coal production site in the region. Located less than 5 kilometres from Muswellbrook, NSW we produce high quality, clean energy coal for international and domestic customers. Mt Arthur Coal can offer experience and great career development opportunities. 

Reporting to the Processing Supervisor, you will work a 24/7 12 hr shift roster working as part of a multi skilled team.

The Electrical Process Technician role requires an electrical trade qualification. Some exposure to wash plant or similar industry experience would be desirable but not essential.

Duties will include:

  • Performing daily HSEC inspections;

  • Participating in field leadership;

  • Plant optimisation;

  • Control room operation;

  • Quality management;

  • Fault finding, breakdown and equipment resetting.  

All necessary site familiarisation and training is provided on the job. Operating a stockpile dozer and other mobile equipment is also part of this role with all training provided.

  • Electrical Trade Qualification;

  • Outstanding commitment to health & safety; and 
  • NSW drivers' license or National equivalent.   

As part of the recruitment process for this position you may be required to undergo a pre-employment medical and participate in a background screen including a criminal history check, identity check and qualifications check.
