About the Role

We’re currently seeking a safety-conscious, technically skilled Electrical Technician to join our Operation Services Maintenance Workshop Team. Reporting directly to the Electrical Workshop Supervisor in a permanent position located at Eastern Ridge OB24. This position is for FIFO from Perth on an 8/6-day shift only roster.

Your responsibilities include but are not limited too:

  • Perform maintenance on belt change out equipment (Vulcanisers, Winches, Winders, Generators, and a range of Conveyor Maintenance Equipment) to ensure reliability and performance
  • Complete planned and breakdown maintenance
  • Perform daily inspections and fault finding
  • Execute work orders safely and on time
  • Conduct test and tagging
  • Follow BHP maintenance procedures and standards
  • Use SAP/Fiori for work management
  • Support root cause analysis and problem solving
  • Identify and action improvement opportunities

   About You

  • Qualified Electrician with a valid WA Electrical Licence 
  • HR class manual Driver’s Licence
  • HRWL Forklift, Dogging and Rigging
  • Familiarity & exposure within Conveyor Maintenance (desirable)
  • Knowledge of tasks related to maintaining Fixed Plant equipment (desirable)
  • SAP/Fiori Knowledge and experience (desirable)
  • The ability to apply expertise to analyse and solve problems.
  • Strong commitment to safety and BHP values
  • Proactively report hazards and incidents
  • Good communication and customer engagement skills
  • Team player with ability to work independently
