About the Role
We currently have permanent opportunities available for experienced locomotive electrical maintenance professionals to join our Rail team in Port Hedland! We have FIFO and residential roles available - both are on even-time rosters!
FIFO roster from Perth to Port Hedland: 7 days on, 7 nights on, 14 days off Residential roster: 4 days on, 4 nights on, 8 days off
Your duties will include:
- Ensuring behaviour aligns with the BHP Charter Values, the BHP Group Level Documents, Code of Conduct and relevant statutory obligations
- An overriding commitment to Health, Safety and Environment within Rail
- Contributing to an inclusive and diverse culture
- Adherence to Work Management principles and discipline
- Maintaining Standardised Work processes and driving Standardised Work improvements in Locomotive Maintenance
- Contributing to Continuous Improvement in Locomotive Maintenance
- Contribute to high fleet availability through routine maintenance, focused on quality work and a defect elimination mindset
- Strong commitment to the Field Leadership
About You As the successful candidate, you will possess the following:
- Australian recognized electrical trade qualification - essential
- WA A Grade Electrical Licence - essential
- Locomotive or heavy duty mobile maintenance experience - desirable
- Current unrestricted West Australian ‘C’ class license - essential
- Strong safety skills and history of Field Leadership participation
- Be process driven
- Ability to work autonomously to meet deadlines
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Experience in managing risk e.g. JHA’s, Take 5‘s
- An energetic and enthusiastic approach to work, with a drive to develop and learn
- Ability to problem solve and react to unplanned situations in a controlled manner
- A teamwork mentality to achieve results
