Electrician
Work Location: Fortescue’s Eliwana mine is located on the traditional lands of the Puutu Kunti Kurrama people
Roster: 7D7RNR – FIFO ex Perth and Busselton
Our Eliwana Mine Services team maintains the surface water piping, diesel-driven generator sets, submersible sump pumps, land-based centrifugal pumps, starter /control panels, motor distribution centers, telemetry, SCADA and PLC systems earth dams and storage tanks, flow control meters and valves.
Key responsibilities include:
- Installation, maintenance and operation of the mine de-watering and water distribution systems
- Scoping continuous improvement opportunities
- Raising notifications and work orders in SAP
- Statutory testing and inspections
- Ensure activities are completed in a safe, productive and cost-effective manner
Qualifications and experience:
- Electrical trade qualification and WA 'A' class electrical workers licence
- Australian 'C' class drivers licence
- Previous experience as electrical tradesperson or Electrical / Instrumentation Technician in a continuous operating plant
- Experience in PLC systems and control communication systems
- Experience in the maintenance and trouble shooting of Variable Speed Drives
- Understanding of electrical schematics, isolation and permitting systems
- SAP experience desirable
