Electrician Experienced (NPI)

Work Location: Hedland Operations - Fortescue’s Hedland Operations are located on the traditional lands of the Kariyarra people.

Roster: 8D/6R – FIFO ex Perth or Residential in Port Hedland

Fortescue are seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Electrician to join the NPI team at Hedland Operations on a 8:6 FIFO or residential roster. Reporting to the Supervisor Electrical you will provide safe, effective and timely building maintenance to our facilities to optimise operational performance. There will also be opportunities to be involved in upgrade projects that will add to our operational capacity.

Key accountabilities will include:

• Breakdown and fault finding on NPI equipment
• Preventative maintenance to NPI and equipment
• Statutory testing and inspections
• Raising notifications and work orders

Qualifications and skills required:

• Electrical trade qualification
• Current WA 'A' class electrical workers licence
• Previous experience as electrical tradesperson
• Experience in the maintenance and troubleshooting of Variable Speed Drives and pumps
• Competent understanding of electrical schematics, isolation and permitting systems
• Experience in computer-based maintenance systems - SAP (desirable)
• Unrestricted C class drivers’ licence
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
