Electrician – Green Energy Hub
Work Location: Christmas Creek - Fortescue’s Christmas Creek mine is located on the traditional lands of the Nyiyaparli people.
Roster: 8D6R FIFO ex Perth or Busselton
Role Overview:
The successful candidate will be responsible to deliver safe, high-quality, and compliant Electrical repair work, maintenance and inspections on the hydrogen gas plant, hydrogen liquid plant, Heavy Equipment battery charger and surrounding Infrastructure at the Christmas Creek Green Energy Hub. It would be desirable that the candidate has experience with PLC, Instrumentation & Hazardous areas work.
Key Accountabilities:
- Carry out planned maintenance, statutory inspections and breakdown repairs on the hydrogen gas plant, hydrogen liquid plant, Heavy Equipment battery charger and surrounding Infrastructure
- Use of SAP to create notifications, close out work orders and time confirmations
- Actively participate in daily, toolbox and safety meetings
- Comply with company procedures, policies and lifesaving choices at all times
- Conduct thorough risk assessments prior to undertaking tasks
- Report all hazards and incidents within the workplace
- Coach, mentor and develop apprentices to become high quality tradespeople
Qualifications & Experience:
- Cert III Electrical qualification (A Grade Unrestricted Electrical Licence)
- Electrical install license issued by Electrical license board
- Senior first aid / CPR /LVR
- Cert IV instrumentation, HV switching and/or Open Cablers license (desirable)
- WA Class C Driver’s Licence
- Relevant experience in hydrogen gas production, mining or related heavy industry
- Experience with small light and power installations
- Experience with control panel fault finding/repair
- Experience with all facets of statutory testing requirements
- A working knowledge of electrical statutory obligations including requirements of following relevant electrical Australian Standards including AS3000
- Experience with fire systems and fire detection equipment
- Experience using Microsoft Office and SAP operating system
