About the role We currently have a role available for an Electrician to join our team in Weipa at our Amrun site.
What you will Bring To be considered for this role it is essential that you are able to display evidence of:
· A trade qualification – Queensland Electrical Trades Licence
· A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team
· A current manual C class drivers license
· Instrumentation experience
· Excellent interpersonal skills
· Time management skills, strong communication skills along with the ability to work in a team environment
It would also be beneficial if you have,
· Computer literacy, including exposure to Microsoft Word & Excel
· Trade experience with fixed plant application
· Knowledge of the SAP system
· HVIA certificate

Where you’ll be workingRio Tinto Weipa is located 900km north-west of Cairns on the Gulf of Carpentaria and has been operating for over 50 years. Over the years, it has developed into a vibrant and diverse cultural hub of the Western Cape. Construction of the Amrun mining operation, located 40 kilometres southwest of Weipa, was completed in late 2018 expanding our bauxite operations to continue production from one of the world’s premier bauxite deposits.
