The Gwalia Gold Mine is located three kilometres south of the town of Leonora, Western Australia, and has been a flagship asset for our client St Barbara for the past 15 years. Macmahon is proud to be able to deliver a whole of mine service including mine development, ground support, production drilling and blasting, loading and trucking, shotcreting and paste fill reticulation from May 2021.
The Gwalia mine is the cornerstone of Leonora operations and has strong margins supported by good grades and a focus on costs and returns.
The Macmahon Underground team are seeking an experienced Underground Electrician to work FIFO on 7:7/8:6 night/day shift roster
Essential requirements:
A current WA Electrical Workers Licence
Current Australian Driver’s Licence
Current Police Clearance (less than 12 months old)
Underground mining experience
Desirable:
High Risk Licence with EWP endorsement
LV/CPR Rescue
HV switching ticket
Working at heights
Current Senior First Aid

Jumbos - Sandvik DD421, DD421i
Solo – Sandvik DL421, DL432i
Spraymec – Normet MF050VC
Successful applicants must be able to pass a pre-employment medical which includes a drug and alcohol screen as well as obtain a National Police Clearance.
