About the Role

We are seeking an Emergency Services Officer to join our inclusive Security and Emergency Management Team at Kalgoorlie Smelter operation. This role is vital in ensuring all emergency response activities are performed in a safe, timely and efficient way. Enthusiasm and commitment to all aspects of emergency response and medical care readiness is critical.

As well as being a first responder to an emergency, you will need to:

  • Ensure ER and medical equipment is online and operational
  • Provide pre-hospital case and procedures and apply the correct operational procedure in response to the situation
  • Develop the skills of volunteer emergency response team
  • Practice credible scenario responses to site material risks

About You

We have a strong focus on finding individuals with the right values and communication skills. Your success is driven by experience in the following areas:

  • Cert III Public Safety ( Emergency and Firefighting ) or Cert III Mines Rescue

  • Cert IV Health Care (Ambulance)

  • Experience in Major Hazard Facility Emergency Response

  • Australian Driver's Licence (HR required)

The Nickel West Kalgoorlie Smelter is located approximately 15km west of Kalgoorlie.  Kalgoorlie is a unique mining town with modern conveniences surrounded by natural Australian beauty.
