Roster 8:6 Days Only ex Perth

Reporting to the Hedland HSES Superintended, Emergency Services Supervisor will be responsible for the day to day running of the Emergency services and security teams. Leading a team of Emergency Service professionals, you will be responsible for developing and coordinating training programs for site personnel as well as participate in safety audits and site security. Your experience in budget management (CAPEX and OPEX) will be required to effectively manage budgets and forecasts

As Emergency Services Supervisor, you will also be required to ensure development and mentoring of ESO and ERT team members, whilst also ensuring that site based and corporate policies, procedures and plans in relation to emergency management, security management, and medical management are complied with.

Key accountabilities will include:

  • Providing leadership and training services for the Emergency Response volunteer group and other site departments in emergency management practices
  • Providing medical services, including AOD testing, where required
  • Providing service delivery in emergency preparedness planning, high risk rescue plans and in field interactions with workplace personnel
  • Providing advice and conduct audits and inspections relating to cyclone preparedness, emergency preparedness and bushfire readiness across the business
  • Preparing and maintaining emergency response equipment to operational standards ensuring effective responses to site emergency events

Education and Experience:

  • Strong demonstrated experience as an onsite ESO
  • Certificate III in Mine Emergency Response and/or Certificate III in Public Safety (Fire Fighting and Emergency Operations)
  • Cert IV in Pre-Hospital Care
  • Cert IV in Training and Assessing
  • Cert II Security Officer
  • HLTPAT 005 Collect Specimens for drugs of abuse testing
