ABOUT THE ROLE

This is a Permanent role on a 40 hours per week, day shift roster. Our Worsley Refinery is a short drive from communities such as Collie (20 Minutes) & Bunbury (45 Minutes) which all offer an enviable country lifestyle. Surrounded by magnificent jarrah forests, pristine beaches and world-famous wineries, you will live and work in one of the most beautiful regions of Western Australia and still be home each night. 

Candidates should ideally live within an hour’s drive of Collie as there is no accommodation on site.

As the Engineer Electrical you will be responsible providing electrical engineering expertise to sustain and enhance site operations through the successful delivery of power, control and technology projects across Worsley Alumina.

Other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to:

  • Develop and review technical designs, specifications and engineering documentation for electrical projects.
  • Support commissioning, testing and project implementation activities to ensure safe and effective outcomes.
  • Maintain engineering governance and ensure compliance with site standards, regulatory requirements and risk controls.
  • Partner with consultants, suppliers and internal stakeholders to deliver high-quality project outcomes.

ABOUT YOU

You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:

  • Delivering electrical engineering outcomes within industrial, processing, manufacturing or resources environments.
  • Working with power distribution systems, electrical infrastructure and control systems.
  • Contributing to project delivery, from design and planning through to implementation and commissioning.
  • Building collaborative relationships and working effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Analysing technical challenges and identifying practical, safe and sustainable solutions.
  • Communicating complex technical information clearly and supporting knowledge sharing across teams.

Qualifications for this position are:

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Eligible or Hold’s Chartered Membership of Engineers Australia
