About the Role 
This role will report directly to the Technical Services Superintendent, and will be primarily responsible for overseeing the safe, reliable and compliant operation of water management infrastructure at Maules Creek. This will be in conjunction with also managing geotechnical risk, maintaining safe operations for personnel and equipment. 
In this role, your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to;
  • Evaluate pore pressure management alternatives like slope drainage to reduce the risk of slope failures 
  • Maintain Slope geohazard identification system, evaluation, analysis of risk control options and information to the workforce and keeping a register
  • Produce documentation and procedures to operate water infrastructure within parameters of compliance according to water requirements, qualities and capacities. Schedule operation following procedures
  • Implementation of slope displacement monitoring systems to evaluate stability conditions of pit walls as well as monitoring of pore pressures affecting slopes
  • Maintain a up to date awareness of relevant safety legislation and company policies
About You 
To be considered for this role, you should posses the following qualifications and experiences:
  • Tertiary qualifications in Mining Engineering or Geology
  • Geotechnical and Hydrogeological experience
  • Experience using mine planning software as well as Microsoft databases and spreadsheets
  • Experience in relationship management with a wide range of key stakeholders
