Engineer Maintenance – Fixed Plant – Cape Lambert

- FIFO from Perth or residential options are also available on an 8 days on, 6 days off or a 5 days on 2 days off and 4 days on 3 days off roster
About the role We are looking for a Maintenance Engineer – Fixed Plant to join our fixed plant maintenance team at Cape Lambert. In this dynamic role, you will provide maintenance, breakdown and shutdown support as well as technical assistance and advice on the effectiveness of maintenance practices, tactics and processes.
Reporting to the Senior Engineer, you will:
- Provide maintenance, breakdown and shutdown support
- Conduct root cause analyses for asset failures across site;
- Be actively involved with and champion the Defect Elimination process across site.
- Be the project leader for technical modifications to equipment / components
- Provide technical advice to Fixed Plant Maintenance and Operations teams
- Communicate asset health, performance and availability through regular meetings
- Actively drive a robust safety culture and processes through a strong in the field presence
- Liaise with numerous stakeholders across a variety of maintenance teams
- Document and generate reports and drawings for equipment upgrades and changes
- Be responsible for asset fault diagnosis and recovery planning for all fixed plant
- Provide engineering assistance for the provisioning of new equipment / components
- Manage change management processes relating to maintenance activities
About you
To be successfully considered for this role, you will have:
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Mechanical, Mechatronics or other related engineering disciplines will be considered
- The desire to be working in a hands on, fast paced position
- Have the ability to provide practical solutions for complex problems
- Demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude
- C Class Driver’s License – Manual
- Demonstrated mechanical experience within a maintenance engineering or reliability engineering role within a mining or industrial environment
- Experience in equipment failure investigation using root cause analyses techniques
- Demonstrated project management skills with experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously, including project scoping, planning, execution and contractor management
- Working knowledge of SAP is desirable
- A strong focus towards safety and safe work practices
- The ability to be flexible, adaptable and resilient
