About the role

Reporting to the Superintendent Asset Planning and Overhaul, you will drive the planning, design and execution of the overhauls portfolio prior to handing over the completed equipment to the relevant  site operational departments.

Some of your main responsibilities will include: 

• Manage the overall project overhaul program design, planning, stakeholder engagement and governance process through the project overhaul cycle.
• Identify equipment overhaul schedules and budgets for the current financial year plus two years, leveraging data from asset management plans
• Drive progression of overhauls through project gates to handover and project execution
• Develop a detailed overhaul implementation schedule
• Ensure alignment of planning with mine site operational processes, procedures and plans

About you

You will have a solid background working in a similar role within the Mining industry and have asset management expertise.

To be considered for the role, you will have:

• Bachelor of Engineering – mechanical, electrical or equivalent
• Ability to effectively communicate and influence across various levels of the business
• Operational exposure in heavy industry
• Strong business acumen
• Ability to understand and manipulate complex technical information and communicate to internal customers
• Project management experience
• Basic understanding of the mining equipment utilised in the underground Metalliferous Coal extraction process.

Location

This position will be predominately based at the Regional Operations Centre, Port Kembla Coal Terminal in Wollongong, NSW.
