We are looking for a Process Engineer to join the Fixed Plant Engineering team at our Greater Nammuldi site. Greater Nammuldi consists of the Brockman 2 and Nammuldi Below Water table processing plants that contribute approx. 45Mtpa to the Rio Tinto supply chain.
Reporting to Senior Engineer Fixed Plant, your key responsibilities will include:
- Plant troubleshooting and optimisation
- Investigating deviations from the plan, including identifying, scoping and recommending solutions
- Providing technical support and advice to Fixed Plant Operation & Maintenance crews and frontline leaders
- Validating downtime data in accordance with the RTIO time model
- Foster and maintain productive relationships within the Engineering team and other business units
- Reporting plant performance through daily, weekly and monthly reporting formats
- Prepare and distribute operating strategies and measure conformance to plan
- Shut support as required
About you
- A degree or equivalent tertiary qualification in Metallurgy, Mineral Processing, Process Engineering or Chemical Engineering
- Understanding of unit operations of mineral processing equipment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
- Excellent communication skills
- Motivation and ability to be self-driven and work autonomously
- A manual C Class drivers licence
Where you will be working
Located 60km north-west of Tom Price, Brockman is wholly owned and operated by Rio Tinto. Opened in 2010, this open pit operation offers a family friendly fly in fly out roster with state-of-the-art camp facilities.
The Greater Brockman Operations consist of Brockman 2, Brockman 4, Nammuldi and Silvergrass. Driving the latest technological advancements, the open-pit mines offer an avenue for opportunity and career progression.
