About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Process Engineer to join our Engineering team. Working in a proactive and supportive team, you will promote business excellence using your broad range of skills in the areas of project management, problem solving, technical knowledge, stakeholder engagement and value optimisation – with particular focus on water, wastewater, non-process infrastructure. Reporting to the GTS Lead, you will play a significant role in delivering business value through the following key accountabilities:
- Providing technical support to Non-Process Infrastructure operations and maintenance teams
- Providing technical input and reviewing documentation for Operational Expenditure / Capital projects, Major and Asset Projects
- Governance activities (such as Critical Control Verifications, audits, design reviews) over designs and processes and reviewing and updating of NPI engineering specification
- Ensure safety through SID, HAZOPS, blueprints, Management of Change Process and documented in SPO and Stature
- Work with external consultants to ensure technical advice is provided to operations and projects for the design, management and operations of NPI drinking water and wastewater treatment plants
- Undertake regular site visits to Pilbara Operations for stakeholder engagement (approximately 1 visit per month) to build and maintain strong relationships with other teams within NPI Water Operations
About You
The successful candidate will possess the following attributes:
- Tertiary degree (Engineering/ Science);
- Strong understanding of drinking water and wastewater treatment systems;
- Knowledge of Water/ Wastewater statutory requirements and Australian Standards;
- Understand the principles of risk and the ability to identify and assess risks;
- Ability to support in all stages of the engineering lifecycle (study, design, installation, commissioning, operation);
- Effective problem solver with strong influencing skills, an ability to clearly communicate business benefits,
- Clear communications skills and ability to deliver professional and concise technical assessments;
- Develop and maintain good relationships with internal stakeholders, external consultants and designers as required; and
- Proactive team player with the ability to work with a multidisciplinary team of engineers.
