We are looking for an Engineer Project Delivery to join our Project Delivery Team at West Angelas to provide end to end management of a diverse portfolio of projects. Whether you’re new to your profession or experienced in your field, and whatever industry you have exposure to, we have opportunities that will provide interesting work and growth opportunities for everyone.
You’ll be part of a friendly team, supported by your leader to grow and achieve your own personal goals as well as the goals of the team. You’ll work a roster which will give you more time to spend on the things that are important to you and the people in your life.
This is a permanent position based at West Angelas, assisting as required at our Greater Hope Downs site and reporting to the Superintendent Project Delivery. You will:
- Have proven working experience as a Project Engineer.
- Have knowledge of project management (scoping, planning, scheduling, resource planning, and cost estimation)
- Prepare and review estimates, budgets, forecasts, schedules, and execution plans
- Monitor project progress against budget and forecasted schedule
- Draft bluesheets and capital expenditure applications (CEAs)
- Maintain effective and on-going communications between key stakeholders and contractor parties
- Foster solid relationships with all partners in the project stages
About you
- A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team
- Experience in monitoring compliance to applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards and specifications.
- Perform overall quality control of the work (budget, schedule, plans, personnel’s performance) and report regularly on project status.
- Ability to review engineering deliverables and initiate appropriate corrective actions.
- Decision making ability and leadership skills.
- Familiarity with rules, regulations, best practices and performance standards
- Experience in project engineering with Non-process Infrastructure & Construction experience highly regarded
- Well-developed people influencing, engagement and communication skills
- Capable of writing conclusive reports and articulating project benefits and challenges
- Mature approach to issues and decision-making skills
- Proven ability in safety leadership in the mining or relevant industry
- Proficient in Microsoft suite of applications (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook, Teams, Project)
- Experience in using SAP
- Australian “C” Class manual drivers’ license

Where you’ll be working
Located 110km west of Newman, West Angelas operates on a fly in fly out roster from Perth, Broome and Busselton.
West Angelas is a pioneer in autonomous technologies – we were the first site to trial autonomous haul trucks and incorporate autonomous drilling into our operations in 2008, and we continue to have one of the largest mining fleets in the Pilbara.
Our high grade, low phosphorous Marra Mamba orebody is an integral part of the Pilbara Blend, contributing both lump and fines products on around four trains each day. At the West Angelas hub there are state-of-the-art power generation and refueling facilities. These facilities supply power and diesel fuel to the East Pilbara mine sites.
The future is bright at West Angelas with ongoing growth projects at Deposits C and D, as well as additional deposits under study providing enormous opportunities for personal development and career growth.
