With exposure to the newest technology and innovation, you will champion defect elimination and reliability engineering processes to improve fixed plant asset reliability and integrity.
This role will provide you with the chance to excel in your career, extend your technical expertise and make your mark by influencing reliability improvement across a broad asset base.
Reporting to the Senior Engineer for Asset Management and Engineering Services, you will:
- Lead the Defect Elimination process on site, with a view to improve plant availability
- Champion reliability practices on site including 5 Whys and RCAs, criticality and spares assessments, constraint optimisation and identify opportunities for reliability-focussed investment
- Review, recommend and implement tactics designed to maintain asset health and improve asset safety, reliability and integrity
- Analyse plant performance data to successfully identify, prioritise and implement reliability improvement initiatives
- Provide technical engineering support to the site maintenance execution teams
What you’ll bring
To be successfully considered for this role, you will have:
- Tertiary qualifications in mechanical engineering or related discipline
- A commitment to safety and critical risk management
- The ability to work collaboratively across a diverse range of stakeholders and operational teams
- Experience in bulk material handling equipment in a fixed plant environment, i.e. crushing, screening, conveying, stackers, reclaimers.
- Experience with Defect Elimination processes and Root Cause Analysis methodology will be advantageous
- SAP experience will be advantageous
- C class manual driver’s licence
Where you will be working
Located 120km north-west of Tom Price, Greater Brockman is wholly owned and operated by Rio Tinto. Opened in 2010, this open pit operation offers a family friendly fly in fly out roster with state-of-the-art camp facilities.
The Greater Brockman Operations consist of Brockman 2, Brockman 4, Nammuldi and Silvergrass. Driving the latest technological advancements, the open-pit mines offer an avenue for opportunity and career progression.
