About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Reliability Engineer to join our Asset Management & Engineering Services (AMES) team at Hope Downs. Working with the latest in technology and innovation, you will use defect elimination and reliability engineering processes to improve asset performance, predominantly for the Fix Plant Assets.
Reporting to the AM&ES Superintendent:
- Lead and conduct high level root cause analysis (RCA) for asset failures using Asset Performance Management software.
- Analysing Equipment performance data to successfully identify and implement reliability improvement initiatives
- Recommend and implement tactics designed to support high levels of asset safety, reliability and integrity
- Provide technical engineering support to site maintenance departments
- Execute both technical based projects derived to improve the performance of our fleet.
- Monitor and analyse the performance of our assets and analyse primary/secondary maintenance tasks to improve asset reliability and cost
What you’ll bring
To be successful in the role, you will have:
- Tertiary qualifications in Engineering or related discipline
- The ability to work collaboratively across a diverse range of stakeholders and operational teams
- Experience leading continuous improvement activities
- Experience is SAP, Momentum and APM will be advantageous.
- Practical experience and an understanding of reliability concepts – FMECA, RCM, etc.
- A demonstrated commitment to safety
- A current and valid manual ‘C Class’ driver's license

Located 50km north-west of Newman, Hope Downs 4 is a joint venture, managed and operated by Rio Tinto, working in conjunction with nearby site Hope Downs 1. Hope Downs 4 provides excellent career growth and opportunities, and the village provides excellent facilities for its FIFO workers.
