About The Role

What You’ll Do
- You will be responsible and accountable for managing the activities of the shift in terms of compliance to all legislative, safety, health and environmental requirements.
- Working to achieve daily production targets.
- Provide direction and leadership to the tradespersons on your shift.
What You’ll Bring
- Tertiary qualifications in a Mechanical or Electrical Trade
- 5 years’ experience in underground coal mining
- Experience in the use of Maintenance Management Systems (Pulse)
- Advanced Diploma in Engineering or in the process of obtaining (desired)
- Tertiary qualifications in Engineering (desired)
- S1, S2, S3, Site safety supervisor’s course or equivalent
- Regularly inspecting workplace for safe and healthy work practices and environment
- Actively promote and participate in mine safety among the workforce
- Allocating, monitoring and controlling the daily underground activities
- Supervision of mine production activities
- Provide leadership to crew members, contractors and OEM’s, setting positive examples and assisting in team development
- Achieve shift production and safety targets
