About the role

We are looking for an Engineer Track to play a key role within the Rail Network Maintenance Division.
This role is a great opportunity to work in a fast-paced dynamic team which is responsible for providing the technical assurance and risk advisory function to the Rail Network Maintenance Division.
Reporting to the Senior Engineer Track Management, you will:
Provide engineering support to the planning and execution of rail replacement and destressing activities
Ensure compliance with Engineering Standards and Procedures are met and appropriate controls are in place to manage risk
Review re-rail and destress scopes to ensure technical requirements are met
Assess and implement changes to plan considering risk and business impact
Perform quality assurance, quality control inspections and measurements
Track planned v actual re-rail & destress volumes, providing updates to the business through weekly reports
Verify and update asset information in RTIO rail asset management systems to reflect work completed, asset condition, and business risk
Review maintenance processes and procedures to reduce defects and improve work practices, productivity, safety, and asset performance
About you
To succeed in this role, you will have:
Tertiary qualification or higher in either Mechanical or Civil engineering
Previous experience and understanding of Railway Track Engineering concepts and principles (Desirable)

Where you will be working
Our privately owned and operated rail network is an essential part of our integrated production process and services our 15 mines across the Pilbara via 1,700km of track. With depots located at Tom Price, Cape Lambert and Dampier (7 Mile), each train is operated by a single driver and comprises up to three locomotives and 240 ore cars stretching to approximately 2.7 kilometres in length with over 40 trains operating per day. We are also applying and adapting technology to improve safety and productivity across our rail network.
