Engineering Administrator / Purchasing Officer

Barminco Ltd is currently seeking an experienced Engineering Officer / Purchasing Officer for our Hazelmere workshop based in Perth. Reporting to the Workshop Manager, you will be an integral part of the team by directly providing ongoing administrative support to the workshop and maintenance manager.

The Role

This position is responsible for the procurement and expediting of parts and services as well as liaising with stakeholders to ensure that orders are filled, receipted, and ready to reconcile with invoices.

Key Requirements;

• Experience in a similar capacity within the mining or engineering sector
• Demonstrated high-level computer skills and knowledge with Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Previous experience using SAP or similar accounting and finance applications
• Assist with the upkeep of plant maintenance systems and records in SAP, including meter resets, asset disposals and creating new assets
• Raise SAP work orders as required and directed including standing work orders relating to equipment transfers
• Raise purchase order requisitions in SAP and monitor their progress and work with the purchasing team to ensure timely processing
• Assist with the monitoring of costing in the work orders so they are correctly coded and updated in the system.
• Current Australian Drivers Licence
• Ability to meet all site access requirements (including, but not limited to, Medical, DAS, NPC & valid Driver’s Licence)
