Engineering Coordinator

Work Location: Perth - Fortescue Centre - Fortescue’s Perth office is located on the traditional lands of the Whadjuk people.

Roster: 5:2 (Monday to Friday) (12 Month Fixed Term Contract)

A fantastic opportunity for an Engineering Coordinator to join our Engineering and design team to assist in growing the team's capabilities and produce consistent, high-quality solutions for our stakeholders.

This role will initially be offered as a 12-month fixed term position, to support our operations and projects teams.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Organising, attending, and participating in stakeholder meetings
  • Chair and facilitate meetings where appropriate
  • Documenting minutes and following up on important actions and decisions from meetings
  • Preparing necessary presentation materials for meetings
  • Managing reporting for engineering team
  • Determining project changes
  • Providing administrative support as needed
  • Coordination of interface with other functions, including Studies, Contracts and Procurement, Recruitment and Project Services, in support of the engineering services across the portfolio to progress priority actions
  • Initiating and managing purchase requisitions, purchase orders, and new vendor onboarding and processing
  • Financial reporting of purchase orders against budgets for engineering team
  • Facilitating documentation input, reviews and issuing reports
  • Support in management and supervision of consultants and contractors
  • Constantly interacting with others in a positive and professional way to ensure that assigned tasks are completed on a timely basis

Desired Qualifications and Skills:

  • The successful candidate will have recognised experience in a similar role; experience with engineering contractors will be highly regarded
  • Familiarity with project management and reporting software is desirable
  • Exceptional time management and organisational skills
  • Ability to show initiative, pre-empt problems and provide solutions
  • Advanced reporting writing, interpersonal and communications skills
  • Ability to work across multi-functions and engineering disciplines
