About the Role

Nickel West is one of the most sustainable nickel producers in the world and the world's leading nickel supplier to the battery metals market. Our nickel is essential to a decarbonising world and Nickel West has a global advantage in the sustainable production of nickel. 

Reporting to the Engineering Manager Asset Integrity, this role provides Support to Nickel West to adopt the engineering information management (EIM) framework in the most effective and efficient manner to ensure that the integrity of BHP’s engineering information is improved and that engineering information is easy to create, find and maintain.

This role is based in Perth and offers flexibility in working locations

In this role you will: 

  • Work with key stakeholders to Develop pragmatic and robust plan for Nickel West to adopt the EIM framework to deliver the most value
  • Support Nickel West and functions to execute EIM adoption activity in the most effective and efficient manner
  • Develop best practice engineering information requirements for effective and efficient project handovers that meet Operations’ engineering information needs
  • Drive continual improvement of Nickel West’s EIM standards, procedures, processes and tools to gather better, more accurate information, in the most streamlined way

About You

  • Strong exposure to engineering information management systems and processes
  • Project wise / Smart Plant experience or similar is highly desirable.
  • Engineering or Drafting qualifications
  • High levels of customer engagement that support quality delivery of fit-for-purpose solutions
  • Experience in a technical governance and/or safety in design role
  • Well-developed communication skills with an interest in providing technical leadership, stewardship, support and solutions
  • Attention to detail and finely tuned problem-solving skills
  • The ability to prioritise and effectively manage multiple deliverables across stakeholders
  • Strong influencing skills and engagement of teams that support high quality engaged delivery
