You will lead a team of skilled instrumentation engineers and consultants, while working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful execution of the project. The Engineering Project Lead plays a pivotal role in project planning, resource management, risk assessment, and timely delivery of high-quality engineering solutions. This position requires a strong background in project management, excellent leadership skills, and a commitment to driving innovation and continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Project Planning and Execution: Assist planning, organization, and execution of engineering projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives, timelines, and budget constraints.
- Provide effective leadership to the engineering team, including task delegation, guidance, motivation, and performance evaluation.
- Allocate resources effectively to meet project requirements and ensure optimal utilization of the engineering team's capabilities.

Ideally you will have gained similar experience supporting project execution, optimisation and maintenance of complex instrumentation systems, within complex operating environments: eg: mining, oil& gas, power generation, transportation networks, processing plants.
You will also possess the following:
- Relevant Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation / Geotechnical / Systems Engineering, Data Science, or related fields; proficient in data capture, modelling and analytics techniques
- Strong project management skills, with a proven ability to develop and manage project schedules and budgets; specifically in delivering of optimised, complex instrumentation circuits
- Strong data analysis, manipulation, and interpretation skills.
- Understanding of geotechnical concepts, soil mechanics, and rock mechanics; adept at translating geotechnical data into engineering solutions – advantageous, not essential
- Demonstrated proficiency using project management and scheduling tools; Aconex, CHESS and SAP. Proven commercial acumen including planning and reporting on progress, cost and risk.
