About the Role
We are currently looking for a new team member to join the Mine Fixed Plant Maintenance Reliability team. The role will also support the identification of constraints within the ore handling network, identification of improvement opportunities and maintaining cadence on the delivery of debottlenecking projects.
Please note this position is based at Olympic Dam, operating on a 5/2 residential, or 5/2/4/3 FIFO with flexibility (from Adelaide) roster. BHP will support relocation if required.
In this role you will:
- Work closely with maintenance execution and mine control room team members to improve quality and quantity of downtime record information
- Influence improvements to the delay accounting system’s platform (AMPLA)
- Monitor and scrutinise equipment and process downtime for accuracy
- Lead process improvement initiatives to support customer group by leveraging BOS practices
- Take responsibility for identifying and resolving systemic issues, and for assessing the potential impact on production, plant, and equipment.
- Conduct problem solving activities to eliminate equipment defects as required
- Monitor and support the delivery of defect elimination investigations across the reliability team
About You
- Must have strong communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with key stakeholders from front-line through to management
- Experience in use of lean-manufacturing / six-sigma technical problem solving preferred
- Highly engaged, collaborative and committed to building mutually beneficial relationships
- Safety minded, with proven ability to demonstrate HSEC behaviours
- Strong problem-solving skills with a collaborative approach to finding practical solutions.
- Have strong operating discipline and organisational skills with the ability to effectively prioritise tasks and work both independently and as part of a team.
- You hold an Engineering degree and/or have the demonstrated relevant experience in mining/manufacturing or processing plants.
