Join Our Team as a Plant Estimator – Mechanical Engineer and Drive Success in Tender Submissions!
Responsibilities:
• Identify risks associated with potential tender submissions and provide recommendations for risk mitigation.
• Support the asset team through cross functional engagement across maintenance strategies & cost reviews.
• Participate in the development of a mature robust tendering process.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, codes of practice, and company policies.
• Engage with OEM's and Plant Hire entities and negotiate supply opportunities.
• Coordinate the delivery of Plant to Projects on time and to meet Project requirements.
• Provide ongoing technical and commercial support to existing contracts.
• Conduct research and implement continuous business improvements.
• Develop plant rate estimates for mining and maintenance service tenders
• Build complete budgets & tenders with information received from the Operations
• Estimating team and Plant base assumptions & data.
• Assist with tender reviews and provide technical support.
• Support contract negotiations and approvals when possible.
• Stay up to date with industry trends and conduct ongoing research within the mobile plant/mining industry.
• Ensure timely and accurate submission of all relevant documents for processing.
• Provide operational support to existing projects (QLD Mining services Business & Civil operations)
• Effective internal & external stakeholder engagement
• Willingness to perform additional tasks as per Business requirement.
Qualifications:
• Relevant degree or certification in a related field (e.g., Engineering).
• Proven experience in plant estimating or similar roles within the mining or construction industry.
• Proven onsite experience particularly in the plant maintenance field In-depth knowledge of relevant legislation, codes of practice, and industry standards.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and a commitment to achieving high-quality outcomes.
• Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency in financial modelling and analysis.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
