Due to our ongoing growth, Macmahon are currently seeking enthusiastic and experienced people to join the team at the "King of the Hills” mine located in the Eastern Goldfields of Western Australia 28km north of Leonora. Macmahon have secured a 5-year Surface and Underground mining contract with RED 5 ltd, the mine will have annual production above 200kozpa, King of the Hills is Australia’s next major Gold Mine which will feature State-of-the-Art Technology 85% new plant and brand-new camp facilities.

We are currently seeking experienced Excavator Operators on a 2:1 Roster with responsibilities not limited to;

• Complete daily pre-starts on equipment and inspection of your work area
• Operate as directed to prepare and maintain underground areas and roads
• Operating machinery efficiently, safely, and competently to ensure maximum output
• Understand and implement appropriate dig methods
• Scaling as required 
• Record all shift report data correctly and on time 

To be successful you will have the following skills and experience;

• Experience in a similar position in a surface mining environment
• Great interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work independently as well as a part of the team 
• Demonstrated experience operating variety of the below;
  • Hitachi EX3600-7 (New)
  • Hitachi EX2600-7 (New)
  • Hitachi EX2600-6
  • Hitachi EX1900-6

As a part of the recruitment process for this role you are required to complete a pre-employment medical, inclusive of drug and alcohol screening and completion of criminal history and qualification checks. Additionally, you will be required to provide proof of working rights in Australia.
