A great opportunity had become available for an exceptional, highly organised and efficient Executive Assistant to provide secretarial and administrative support to the General Manager (GM) and Senior Leadership Team (SLT) for Cadia Valley Operations in this varied, diverse and exciting site-based role.

Operations near and far  

Close to the city of Orange in NSW, Cadia is Australia’s largest gold mining operation. We offer a unique opportunity for employees and their families to enjoy a mining career all whilst living in a major regional centre only three hours away from Sydney, NSW. 

Who we’re looking for  

As an experienced Executive Assistant, you will be the supportive force that partners with our leadership team with the ability to build trust and rapport across all levels of the business building positive relationships.

You are proactive, forward thinking with exceptional communication & interpersonal skills with a meticulous attention to detail. You can be flexible and have foresight in a dynamic, ever-changing environment. Your goal will to always be one step ahead.

You will also possess the following:

  • Diary management, evaluating and prioritising meeting requests against other priorities and commitments
  • Manage and schedule domestic and international travel arrangements for the GM and SLT
  • Coordinate meetings, events and functions including preparation and distribution of meeting agenda and minutes for the SLT, catering
  • Manage the SharePoint Team site
  • Prepare and format correspondence and presentation material for the General Manager
  • Manage a fleet of site pool vehicles
  • Manage the Senior Administration Office directly and coordinate with the broader administration team members, including work delegation and general communication coaching and mentoring others
  • Monthly reconciliation of credit card accounts playing a critical role in supporting the GM with budget management, so you must possess numeracy capability
  • Ability to build relationships with both internal and external stakeholders and with community partners
  • Active Business Improvement participation & sound problem solving
  • Co-ordinate site visits and tours

 The skills and knowledge that will help enable your success include:

  • Qualifications in business administration or proven success in a similar role
  • Strong MS Office Skills, including PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of travel booking systems
  • SAP Expense management
