The Role
Reporting to the Exploration Coordinator your key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Supervise all exploration activities, together with the implementation of safety systems and safe systems of work for field programmes.
- Train and mentor exploration field assistants
- Ensure statutory reporting for all safety compliance.
- Supervise environmental, geophysical or other contractors as required.
- Ensuring QAQC systems and checks are performed
- Thoroughly investigate and report on all incidents
- Run group risk assessments, site specific inductions, prestarts and return to work meetings.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- 5+ years’ experience in the mining and/or exploration industry or similar
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently.
- Excellent time management and work planning skills
- Fully experience in the use of the Microsoft suite, (Word, Excel and Powerpoint)
- Skilled in safety management, incident investigation and reporting
- Excellent leadership skills
- Proven experience in managing remote exploration works or mining activities.
- Hold a Current Manual Drivers Licence
- First Aid certificate
- Pronto, Acquire and/or Discover experience preferred but not necessary

The Exploration Team
Aeris Resources are investing $10M in exploration to unlock further value at the Tritton Copper Operation following the recent discovery of the Constellation deposit.
The funds will enable the exploration team to embark on a substantial exploration program to find the next deposit to add to the 750,000t of copper discovered to date. With a large tenement holding and a significant proportion under-explored there is a real opportunity to find more deposits and Aeris are backing the exploration team to do so.

The Operation
Tritton Copper Operations employs more than 400 people and is located in Hermidale, in Central New South Wales. Tritton has two underground copper mines (Tritton and Murrawombie) and is forecast to produce 20,000 tonnes copper metal in FY2022.
Tritton is a key employer within the region and a proud supporter of the community. We are a residential mine that allows you to be home each night to Nyngan. Accommodation support is provided as well as company transport to the operation.
