Our people are the driving force on our roadmap to decarbonisation and we are currently looking for expressions of interest to join the Fortescue family in our mobile maintenance teams. 

 We will be upgrading all our mobile fleet to zero emissions models and our maintenance teams are at the heart of this program. Maintainers will have the opportunity to learn and work on electrified HME, SME and LME fleet as it arrives over the next six years. 

Heavy Mobile Equipment – HME Planner

Work Location: Across Fortescue sites

Roster: 8D/6R – FIFO ex Perth OR 4D/3R – FIFO ex Perth

Maintenance planners are required to plan and schedule maintenance activities relating to registerable plant on HME assets, SME assets, and workshop infrastructure.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Estimating labour requirements and equipment downtime
  • Identify materials, tooling, equipment and resources needed
  • Continuous review of Maintenance Plan effectiveness
  • Update SAP / databases with updated equipment change out data
  • Manage warranty and repair processes on corrective work
  • Arrange external contractors / suppliers and manage workflows

Education and Experience:

  • Previous mining environment experience essential
  • Previous experience in Maintenance Planning / Scheduling across Heavy Mining Equipment (Mobile Plant)
  • Exposure to CMMS software e.g. Pulse, SAP, AMT, JDE
  • Trade qualified as a mechanical fitter – preferred
  • Australian Work Rights - Birth Certificate, Passport and/or valid Visa - essential
