Our people are the driving force on our roadmap to decarbonisation and we are currently looking for expressions of interest to join the Fortescue family in our mobile maintenance teams.
We will be upgrading all our mobile fleet to zero emissions models and our maintenance teams are at the heart of this program. Maintainers will have the opportunity to learn and work on electrified HME, SME and LME fleet as it arrives over the next six years.
Material Logistics Officer - Mobile Maintenance
Work Location: Across Fortescue sites
Roster: Various - 8/6, 4/3 - FIFO ex Perth
Material Logistics Officers provide support in stock control , stock rotation and management to provide cost savings to Fortescue
Key accountabilities will include:
- Liaising with maintenance supervisors and external suppliers to organise transport of urgent parts to site for breakdown repairs
- Tracking incoming inventory, delivery arrival time and note actual arrival time
- Reviewing a four-week planning forecast in SAP and expediting required parts with long lead times to site.
- Inspection of consolidated materials prior to executing planned work
- Organising and completing a weekly stock take of parts and ordering low stock
- Consolidating service kits, components and materials for the upcoming planning week
- Working with team members, supervisors and coordinators to identify future parts
Qualifications and skills required:
- Forklift ticket – essential
- C Class Driver's Licence
- Exposure to CMMS software e.g. Pulse, SAP, AMT, JDE
- 1-2 years' experience in a similar position
- Excellent time management & organisation skills
