About the Role

Reporting to the BHP Operating System (BOS), Nickel West Site Coach, your focus is to provide both initial and ongoing coaching to Managers, Superintendents, Supervisors, and frontline team members, in the application of BOS tools and methods, and work to embed the new way of working.   You will utilise innovative approaches, tools, and technology to add real value to our assets - setting new standards to guide improvement activity, elevating and supporting our people. You will gain insight and training in the BOS methodology and will be expected to upskill others through your work.   Your key deliverables include:   

  • BOS tools and methods embedded in focus areas/activities. 
  • Report on progress and value delivered in areas/activities.
  • Behavioural changes embedded among operational leadership.
  • Capability transfer to Line Engineers. 
  • Changes to area/activity deployment plans. 

About You

We are looking for individuals that possess business knowledge, demonstrate excellence in leadership on a day-to-day basis, who are innovative with a bias to action, effectively influence others, and have a strong ability to build capability in others and lead change.   

As a successful candidate you will possess the following:

  • The ability to effectively identify opportunities to increase value and eliminate hazards, waste, and variability.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a collaborative approach to finding practical solutions.
  • Experience as an Execution Supervisor or similar.
  • Ability to understand production/maintenance (systems) data.
  • Ability to engage with all levels of the business from frontline employees to higher-level management. 
  • Although it is desirable that you already have CI experience, you will receive full BOS Immersion training to support your role and ongoing mentoring and guidance from experienced Coaches to ensure your success.  

Location

In this full-time permanent position, you will be based in Leinster, a country town of Western Australia, on a Fly-in-fly-out basis from Perth on 5 days’ work, 2 days off, and 4 days’ work, 3 days off.

Nickel West Leinster is located in the northern region of the Goldfields. The Leinster Village and Township offer a unique lifestyle with all the modern conveniences – an Olympic size swimming pool, health, and fitness centre, race-course, and even an 18 hole golf course.
