Due to the continuous growth we are currently seeking expressions of interest from motivated individuals, who are keen to jump-start their career withing mining industry as Trainee Dump Truck Operators, working on a 2 weeks on 1 week off roster on our Surface Operations or 2:2 on our Underground Operations (both dayshifts and nightshifts required) and flying in and out of Perth.   As a registered training organisation Macmahon will not only provide you with structured, on the job training, but you will also complete Certificate III in Surface Extraction Operation, which is a nationally recognised qualification, as a part of the traineeship.

You do not require any previous experience to be considered for those roles, but you will need to demonstrate the following:  

• Current unrestricted manual Drivers Licence; we cannot accept provisional licences
• Only available for those with  Australian Citizenship or permanent residency
• Commitment to Macmahon safety culture and values;
• ‘Can-do’ attitude and willingness to learn;
• Great interpersonal and communication skills; and
• Ability to meet our due-dilligence criteria.

Please note that we run a multiple stage selection process for this role. You may be required to complete a pre-employment questionnaire, complete online psychometric testing and a video interview as well as attend a DTO Assessment Day in our Perth Head Office.

As a part of the recruitment process for this role you may be required to complete a pre-employment medical, inclusive of laboratory drug and alcohol screen and complete a criminal history and qualification checks. Additionally, you will be asked to provide proof of working rights in Australia i.e. copy of valid Australian passport, birth certificate, citizenship certificate or current visa grant notification where applicable.
