About the Role

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Facilities Coordinator to join our Utilities Maintenance team at BHP Nickel West at our Kwinana site, reporting to the Superintendent Utilities Maintenance.

To be successful in this role you will be an effective and collaborative communicator with the ability to manage multiple business priorities simultaneously. Collaborative interpersonal skills are essential, allowing you to influence while also enabling you to build relationships across various contract groups.

This position is based at Kwinana in Western Australia and is offered on a 5/2 roster, working 8 hour days.

  • Demonstrating and instilling an overriding commitment to health, safety & environment
  • Coordination within various contract groups within the Utilities Maintenance team
  • Managing purchase orders 
  • Liaising with various internal and external contract groups
  • An overriding commitment to health, safety and environmental responsibilities 
  • Drive an inclusive and diverse culture
  • Build relationships across functions to achieve positive working environment for task execution
  • Manage breakdown and planned maintenance activities

About You

As the successful applicant you will possesses the following skills and experience:

  • Foster positive & productive working relationships and team culture
  • Set and maintain clear safety standards and expectations with your team
  • Committed to safety leadership
  • Lead and support continuous improvement opportunities
  • Current unrestricted ‘C’ class licence 
  • Experienced in 1SAP work management
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement and risk management skills
  • An energetic and enthusiastic approach to work, with a drive to develop and learn
  • Ability to problem solve and react to unplanned situations
  • Experience supervising of trades within similar operation is desirable
  • Seek to continuously improve
