The Position 

Emeco Group has a new opportunity for a Field Service Supervisor to join us on our exciting journey of rapid growth for 2023. Based in Mackay, this role will consist of a Monday to Friday roster and a competitive remuneration package. The successful applicant will own our rapidly growing Field Service Division to coordinate, monitor and improve our expanding Field Service Queensland team.

Your core responsibilities will include (but not limited to) the following;

  • Prioritise and manage daily task requirements of Field Service employees and subcontractors.
  • Effectively planning labour to ensure jobs are completed on time.
  • Coordinating with internal and external clients to schedule maintenance or repair requests.
  • Develop and provide job costings and quotes to clients based on their specifications and requirements.
  • Monitor costs and overall profitability of field service activities.
  • Provide technical support and assistance to the Field Service team particularly with diagnosis and troubleshooting challenges.
  • Provide leadership and create a positive team culture to the service technician team.
  • Asset management and of Light Vehicles and specialised tooling.
  • Overseeing the Field Service administration function.
  • Internal and external client management to achieve satisfaction and return for the company.
  • Ensure Field Service personnel are developed to ensure field service personnel have the right skills to meet service objectives.
  • Assessing the function for business improvement initiatives.
  • Daily communication and reporting as required.
  • Working with short and long term planners.
  • Building customer and Internal relationships.

Skills & Experience

  • Considerable experience in a workshop and field maintenance experience in a supervisory capacity
  • Proven experience in heavy earthmoving equipment maintenance and repairs preferably Caterpillar, Komatsu and Hitachi
  • Understanding of business and finance goals in conjunction with overall project requirements
  • Nationally recognised trade qualification
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Experience and knowledge of mining equipment industry
  • Possess excellent planning and organisation skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong time management skills and ability to plan and forecast
  • Can identify and facilitate effective high-level customer and stakeholder relationships
  • Demonstrate ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Energetic and has a "can do" attitude
  • Shows a strong commitment to the safety values within the Emeco OHS policy
