Work Location: Eliwana

Fortescue’s Eliwana mine is located on the traditional lands of the Puutu Kunti Kurrama people.

Roster: 8D/6R – FIFO ex Perth

Role overview:

We have the opportunity for a full time position leading our Field Team at Eliwana. Reporting to the Superintendent Technical Services, you will manage the day-to-day functions of a team of Field Technicians to ensure they are setup for success to meet grade control requirements. This will include mentoring them in best practices of sampling from blast cones, sample stations and bulk sample pads.

This role requires the ability to multitask and liaise with multiple stakeholders to ensure the samples are collected, recorded and submitted correctly in a timely manner.

Key responsibilities include:

• Mentor a team of Field Technicians in sampling best practices
• Ensure representative samples are collected from various sources such blast cones, sample stations and bulk sample pads
• Ensure samples are recorded correctly in the sample database
• Ensure samples are dispatched to their destination correctly (on/off-site)
• Manage team logistics and stock levels using SAP
• Weekly QAQC reporting of results

Qualification and Experience:

• Demonstrated experience in coaching and mentoring a team
• Comfortable in the use of Microsoft Office (Excel and Outlook in particular)
• Current WA C-Class manual driver’s licence
• Current First Aid Certificate
• A Telehandler/Manitou ticket is desirable but not essential
