Field Supervisor

Work Location: Iron Bridge - Fortescue’s Iron Bridge project is located on the traditional lands of the Nyamal people.

Roster: 8D/6R – FIFO ex Perth

This is a permanent leadership position within a fast-paced work environment and with a competitive remuneration package. Your role would be to manage and lead our team of Field Samplers.

Key accountabilities will include:

• Manage and lead the field samplers on a daily basis, so the work is efficient and safe
• Day to day management of blast hole sampling and logging work including:
• Day to day planning of sampling requirements
• Ensuring safe submission of samples to the site laboratory or Perth dispatch
• Conducting workplace inspections
• Verifying accurate sampling and downhole logging
• Monitoring and maintaining consumables and supplies
• Liaising with and maintaining strong relationships with other teams

 Qualifications and Experience:

• A desire to build and maintain a team, with felt ‘on the shop floor’ leadership
• Experience in a similar role in open pit mining, geophysical logging experience is advantageous
• Manual C Class Driver’s License
• Proactive, highly motivated, and enthusiastic. Willing to take on new challenges, work in a physically demanding job and learn new skills
• Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, and capable of building strong multi-departmental relationships
• Intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Excel, Word)
