About the Role

The main aspects of this role is to ensure that all core farm activities are undertaken safely and efficiently. Ensuring that all enabling activities for our drill plans are executed including supervision of field technicians, managing vehicle fleets, ordering of consumables and despatching of samples

The key functions provided by the Field Supervisor role include:

  • Day to day management of the BHP NiW Exploration Core Facilities
  • Development and training of field technicians in all aspects of exploration work
  • Delivery of the Field Leadership schedule monthly for area of responsibility
  • Ensure all sample pick up, mark up, processing and despatch are completed safely
  • Ensure all sample data collected are without error and RFA/SRF raised for all sample dispatches
  • Maintain the process for waste management
  • Accountable for all BHP equipment (LVs, LT, Fork Lift etc). Ensure they are serviced, maintained at regular intervals and allocated as per operational needs
  • Ensuring exposure to health hazards of personnel is monitored regularly (e.g. dust, noise, heat etc)

About You

  • Previous experience in managing teams
  • Exposure to exploration programs and facilities
  • Excellent leadership skills
  • Experience managing a team of direct and indirect reports
