We are recruiting a Finance Business Partner, who will help shape the future of Finance within Rio Tinto. You will be responsible for providing financial and commercial advice to Rio Tinto Iron Ore’s Mines portfolio. We are looking for an enthusiastic problem solver who enjoys a challenge and is uncomfortable with the status quo.

Reporting to the Manager Finance Business Partner – Mines , you will be responsible for:
- Partnering: Partner with a customer-centric mindset to help teams we support make better decisions, improve business performance, and increase the value of their business.
- Coaching:Coach key stakeholders to build business and commercial acumen to improve cash management (across all funding sources).
- Analysis:Deliver insightful outputs and recommendations to support business performance, including monthly reporting.
- Continued Improvement:Identify and implement opportunities for improvement initiatives with the Finance team.
- Planning & forecasting:Deliver the annual plan and support strategic initiatives for the teams supported.
- Development:Contribute to the coaching and development of analysts within the team.

- Successfully communicate recommendations and win customers buy-in, both verbally and via presentation tools
- Background in finance, management consulting or engineering (but not mandatory)
Where you'll be working
This role is primarily based in the Pilbara, at our Hope Downs 1 and 4 mine sites.
In the Pilbara region of Western Australia, we own an integrated portfolio of iron ore assets: a world-class, integrated network of 16 mines, four independent port terminals, a 1,700-kilometre rail network and related infrastructure –all designed to respond rapidly to changes in demand. We are one of the world's leading producers and exporters of iron ore.
