Key Responsibilities 

The successful applicant will be responsible for:

  • Ownership of monthly Regional P&L
  • Report the monthly results of the Region to senior management
  • Analyse Regional business and reporting of KPI's on weekly and monthly basis
  • Daily reporting of expenditure to maintenance manager and supervisors and analysis
  • Monthly forecast of regional revenue and P&L in conjunction with Region General Manager
  • Develop and implement improvements to Emeco accounting systems and processes with regard to the reporting requirements of all Emeco business groups
  • Partner with regional General Manager and Maintenance Managers to assist in tracking monthly profitability and provide insight on regional earnings
  • Ensure all reconciliations are completed and reconciled
  • Ensure Australian Accounting Standards are followed at all times
  • Ad hoc analysis and project work

About You 

Essential to this role will be your tertiary qualifications in Business / Commerce, supported by CPA and CA status, along with substantial accounting and/or business analysis exposure. 

  • 5 years' experience within an accounts management position 
  • Experience in a similar mining services/mechanical trades accounting with direct operational exposure is highly desirable 
  • Commercial knowledge of the Earthmoving Industry as relevant to financial reporting 
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of financial accounting / management accounting principles 
  • Analytical and diagnostic skills with the ability to develop best practice solutions 
  • Ability to build relationships with stakeholders at multiple levels in multiple locations
