ABOUT THE ROLE

Reporting to the Finance Manager, as Finance Business Partner the purpose of this role is to support the operations through a customer focused approach for the provision of analysis, explanation and advice on business options in order to deliver the highest value outcomes. This will enable the Operations to unlock value.  

This role will be offered on a 4-month contract basis.

This role will be based at our Worsley Alumina Refinery which is a short drive from Collie (15 minutes), Bunbury (35 minutes) and other nearby scenic communities.  

As there is no accommodation on site, you will be required to drive in, drive out on a daily basis. Employees ideally live within an hour’s drive of Collie.  

key responsibilities are, but not limited to:

• Support Operations with the annual budget, forecasting and month end accrual processes and reporting, including management approvals, and influence their plans where required.
• Analyse data (cost, etc) and identify improvement opportunities.
• Coach and support site-based operations and functional personnel in finance processes and governance.
• Upskill the finance competencies of operational personnel - including understanding value and decision analysis.
• Understand and communicate cost drivers and their impact on business outcomes.

ABOUT YOU 

• Technical: Self-reliant contributor with distinctive proficiency in the Finance and Improvement area. Able to digest complex operational activities and communicate in simple concise language.
• Operational: Credible operational knowledge.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Valued team member who has influenced solutions with internal stakeholders at senior management level.
• System knowledge required: SAP, Office (mainly Excel), PowerBI (desirable)

Qualifications for this position are:

• CA/CPA (or working towards) or Engineer (with relevant Finance experience)
