Financial Accountant

Macmahon are seeking an enthusiastic professional to join our motivated and results driven finance team as a Financial Accountant reporting to the Senior Financial Accountant.  This position provides wide ranging accounting, financial modelling and general commercial support to the business.

Responsibilities include but not limited to the following:

• Assist in the preparation of statutory financial statements including the annual and interim financial reports for the Group
• Coordinate with external auditors during annual audit and interim reviews
• Prepare technical accounting papers in relation to any significant accounting matters
• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements 
• Prepare monthly group consolidation which consists of local operations and foreign subsidiaries in different currencies
• Prepare monthly cashflow statements
• Prepare monthly corporate reporting and analysis
• Analyse impacts of foreign currency exchange rate movements
• Business planning tasks including budgeting and forecasting
• Treasury accounting
• Assist in the financial and management reporting of international subsidiaries
• Assist with the establishment and deployment of appropriate business systems

Ideal skills and experience:

• Strong financial accounting skills
• CA / CPA Qualified
• Understanding of business systems and the mining industry
• Financial modelling skills
