Fire Systems Mechanical Technician
Work Location: Cloudbreak - Fortescue’s Cloudbreak mine is located on the traditional lands of the Palyku and Nyiyaparli peoples.
Roster: 8D/6R – FIFO ex Perth
Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor , this position is responsible to deliver, safe high quality maintenance work as required by the NPI team. Infrastructure services maintains assets across the entire mine site operations and village facilities.
Key accountabilities will include:
- Carry out planned and breakdown repairs on FMS as well as associated equipment
- High safety focus and risk perception at all times
- Use of SAP to create notifications, close out work orders and time confirmations
- Ensure materials and equipment stocks for Fire Systems are maintained
- Support, coach and mentor team members
- Comply with company procedures, policies and life saving choices at all times
- Actively participate in daily, toolbox and safety meetings
Education and Experience:
- Fire Systems Qualifications
- Trade Certificate as Mech Fitter (desirable)
- Extensive knowledge and experience with Fire Systems and Gas Testing, repairs to assets, structures and facilities
- Current C Class drivers license
