Mount Isa Mines are currently advertising a Mechanical Fitter vacancy that exists in the Copper Concentrator Mechanical Maintenance Department.

The Role 

This role will see you become an integral part of the maintenance team responsible for servicing the grinding and flotation circuits, fill plants, concentrate filters, Surface Ventilation and Refrigeration assets. This role is residentially based in Mount Isa, working a Monday to Friday roster. You may occasionally be required to work additional hours to suit business needs.

The successful candidate will possess:

  • Trade qualification – Fitter (Mechanical) essential
  • Current manual driver’s license
  • Experience within mining/heavy industry environment
  • Sound computer skill’s
  • A demonstrated commitment to safety
  • A self-motivated attitude and enjoy working in small yet highly productive teams
  • The ability to adapt to change in duties from day to day

The successful candidate will possess (but not essential): 
  • Current Forklift ticket
  • Current Dogger ticket
  • Current LBG crane ticket
  • Current EWP ticket
