Finding better ways to provide the material the world needs

We are looking for enthusiastic and strong performing Fitters to perform planned, preventative and breakdown maintenance across our extensive fleet of heavy diesel trucks (road transport), cranes and light vehicles

This is a great opportunity for a highly motivated trades people who are looking for a long-term career in mining.

Reporting to the Mechanical Supervisor you will be part of a team, working a lifestyle friendly 8 days on; 6 days off dayshift only roster residing residentially in Karratha/Dampier.

  • Maintain a high level of safety awareness and comply with all RTIO Company Policies and procedures

  • Conduct inspections, servicing of planned / unplanned maintenance across a varied LME & HME fleet including but not limited to Heavy Diesel Trucks (Volvo, Scania, Kenworth, Isuzu and MAN.) Leibherr Cranes, Frannas, EWP’s, Scissor Lifts and Large range of forklifts. Light Vehicles (Hilux, Prado, Land Cruisers and Ford Rangers) and determine repair action when required.

  • Actively contribute to continuous improvement projects – increasing safety whilst reducing risk & cost

  • Utilise SAP to ensure that maintenance tasks are recorded, assigned correctly and completed to the relevant standard / specification

What you’ll bring

  • A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team

  • Heavy Diesel/ Road Transport Mechanical Trade

  • Experienced maintaining and servicing Heavy Diesel Trucks (Volvo, Kenworth, Isuzu) and Light Vehicles (Hilux, Prado, Land Cruisers)

  • An Australian manual drivers’ licence

  • Highly Preferred HR,HC,MC License

  • Forklift Ticket Desirable

  • Dogging/ Basic Rigging Ticket Desirable

  • Eligible to work in Australia without requiring visa sponsorship

Where you’ll be working

Our integrated operations, which include port facilities, ensure we can supply the right quality product to our customers, when they need it. We blend our products at our own ports, which allows us to produce a reliable and consistent product. And because we have dedicated shipping operations, we are able to better control the delivery of product to our customers.

We operate 4 independent shipping terminals at 2 locations, Cape Lambert and Dampier, managed as a single port system.
