Work Location:

Fortescue’s Iron Bridge project is located on the traditional lands of the Nyamal people. This role will then transition to a Perth based location.

Roster:

4D/4N/8R - FIFO ex Perth.

An exciting opportunity awaits a highly motivated Supervisor to join our Fixed Plant and Port Control teams.

Reporting to the Superintendent Fixed Plant and Port Control, this Supervisor role supports the control room functions for Christmas Creek OPF and TLO, Cloudbreak OPF and TLO, as well as Port Inload and Outload control. The role will be based remotely at Fortescue's IOC (Integrated Operations Centre) in Perth.

The Control Room Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the interaction of the control teams with wider operational activities. They will drive safety, production, efficiency, and cost reduction initiatives in alignment with site Key Performance Indicators. The Supervisor will provide leadership and guidance to the control team to ensure consistent achievement of business, fixed plant, and port objectives, while adhering to HSES policies and procedures.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Optimizing the control systems to enhance productivity, efficiency, and safety while minimizing disruptions.
  • Effectively scheduling and coordinating personnel and resources for seamless operations within the fixed plant and port control areas.
  • Implementing appropriate and timely training plans for the fixed plant and port control team.
  • Ensuring accurate data and information capture and recording.
  • Collaborating with technical departments to mitigate production and maintenance delays.
  • Facilitating communication between production, maintenance, technical services, fixed plant, port, mining, and operational personnel.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Proficiency in control systems and operational technologies.
  • Demonstrated skills and experience in team development within required training systems.
  • Knowledge of fixed plant operations and work methods.
  • Ability to make effective and intuitive decisions under pressure.
  • Willingness to work on rotating shifts and visit the site for familiarization and business continuity requirements.
