Fixed Plant Electrical Supervisor

Work Location: 

• Fortescue’s Solomon mine is located on the traditional lands of the Eastern Guruma and Yindjibarndi peoples.

Roster: 7D7N14R - FIFO ex Perth or Busselton Roster

Fortescue is seeking an experienced Fixed Plant Electrical Supervisor with relevant mining experience within an Ore Processing Facility or similar environment for a permanent opportunity at our Solomon mine site.

Key responsibilities include:

• Providing leadership and support to a diverse team of trade personnel
• Driving a positive team safety culture
• Managing the electrical team’s day to day planned works and breakdowns
• Maintaining electrical compliance within the fixed plant
• Driving safe systems of work within the team
• Working in conjunction with all maintenance teams on scheduled works

Education and Experience:  

• Electrical Trade Qualification
• Current WA Electrical Licence
• High Voltage Ticket and experience with HV Switching
• Competent understanding of electrical schematics, isolation and permitting systems
• Previous leadership experience, preferably within an iron ore processing plant
• Experience with computer-based maintenance systems
• Strong commitment to health and safety
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
